ConsumerDemand: Innovations in Building Consumer Demand for Tobacco Cessation Products and Services

The Academy for Educational Development (AED), through a grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF),
is soliciting Design Consulting Requests from organizations seeking to develop and implement innovations to increase
the use of evidence-based tobacco cessation products and services.

AED has partnered with IDEO, a consumer product design firm, to work with organizations to develop fresh ideas to improve the appeal, delivery and use of these products and services, especially among smokers in underserved low-income and racial/ethnic populations.

AED is looking to provide IDEO consulting time to 5-10 organizations to create and test prototypes of treatments to more
successfully engage and assist smokers throughout their quitting journeys.

For more information on this opportunity and on how to submit a request, please download the "Design Consulting
Request Overview" and the "Design Consulting Request Form." Submissions are due by October 27, 2006.
